John Gottman on Trust and Betrayal. This is a link to Greater Good: The Science of a Meaningful Life. It features videos of a Greater Good presentation by John Gottman, the country’s foremost couples researcher. In this excerpt from his talk, Dr. Gottman discusses his trailblazing work on the science of trust, exploring its importance for couples and communities alike.

Dr. Sue Johnson is another name to remember and she is the author of several helpful books including Hold Me Tight, and Love Sense. Her site has information for therapists as well as non-therapists. now has an online course for Hold Me Tight. http://www.drsuejohnson.com/

Sue Johnson and Ed Tronick have produced a powerful video that illustrates the power of attachment in relationship, and the pain that accompanies broken attachment. This is well worth the eleven minutes and can explain many of the challenging times that occur within adult relationships. 


 

John Gottman has done an immense amount of research on what makes marriages succeed or fail. This short video summarizes the "Seven Principles" have been a solid foundation of his theory.
